Internal Communal Lobby

This brick brutalist building in Camden is home to 175 residents. We were appointed to look at refurbishment works to the building fabric and common areas, as well as design proposals for a porters cabin and the common parts. We collaborated with a graphic design company to work up a brand image for the building to create a unified presentation of a high end, post modernist/brutalist buildin

The two proposals presented, look to emphasize the existing architectural qualities of the building, such as texture, materiality and linear form. Interventions must be of a material form that is honest and hugs the existing forms of the building.  One of the proposals suggests that any new interventions should be ghost like, not distracting users of the building for the existing features.
